Arashi: Castles of Sin has been announced for PSVR 2, and it looks kind of incredible. If you've ever wondered what Ghost of Tsushima might look like in VR, we'd bet this would be a fair approximation. No word on a firm release yet, but coming in Fall 2023,
The tale it tells, however, doesn't feature ravaging Mongol hordes. You play as an assassin named Kenshiro, tasked with silencing the Six Oni of Iga, a brutal bandit ring spreading chaos across Feudal Japan. Utilising a wide variety of sharp and barbed implements and tools, you must infiltrate their conquered castles and townships. Combining award-winning stealth action and advanced AI, hunt from the shadows with your canine companion, Haru, a very good boy.
If you've been looking for something meaty to really push your fancy new hat, this could well be it. What do you think of Arashi: Castles of Sin? Scale the wall into the comments section below, and smoke bomb out if you encounter trouble.

I'll wait for reviews but it's definitely got me a bit hyped.
What's this?! Well that looks a bit amazing!
@themeganiggle not exactly the got vr version we were hoping for, but I'll take it! š
This looks very promising
The trailer looks amazing, I hope they improved on the mayor issues people had with the psvr version.
I never played the psvr version, I just heard that the combat was not a very strong point of the game. And in particular the boss fights felt repetitive and unsatisfactory. I hope in particular that the sword combat is improved in the psvr2 version.
"fair approximation" is a bit of a stretch, I would dare to say. Arashi is composed of small gated areas, if I am not mistaken But I guess it may give a glimpse towards what ghost of tsushima could look like in VR.
Free / paid / any upgrade path?
I'm guessing as the name has changed (added final cut) and the publisher is different, so no probably not.
@CaptD That's what I'm sensing as well. Still have my PS4 copy sealed. An upgrade path would be very welcome but I don't think so either.
Got my PSVR2 birthday present yesterday!!
So far Gran Turismo has been revelatory and Pistol Whip is basically musical John Wick simulator.
This looks outstanding too, very pleased ATM.
@NEStalgia I will absolutely take it! This looks like some great fun
I got this game for PSVR1, and it was fun while it last, but there were a couple of bugs and I never went back to it after completing the story. No upgrade path mentionned to PSVR2 won't lead me to buy it again. Normally, tracking must be improved with PSVR2 conpared to the first helmet with games in general, but so far, I got more frequent problems with that (errors) with PSVR2. Maybe my room is not big enough or miss light.
@Pat84 It is likely light, or too uniform coloured walls, ceiling, floor.
Sold Iām buying it
@BeerIsAwesome
Yes, I found it to be a strange omission that the article failed to mention that this is not a new game and that the previous version was released for the original PSVR. āFinal Cutā alludes to this being a newer version of an existing game.
@Pat84 You probably need more contrast around you for the headset cameras to use as anchors. I think stuff with right angles work best. I've had issues especially with my floor and found that splattering cushions around helped quite a bit.
The trailer looks impressive but none of it is actual gameplay.
